About performer
Having traveled a long road from the disdain of high society to conquering Paris, tango will now resound in Klaipėda, where the “TANGO REVOLUTION” will be unveiled.
In today’s concert, we invite you on a journey from the old, danceable tango – milonga – to modern concert tango, created by Ástor Piazzolla. He – the king of the new tango – fused classical music, jazz, and tango into a unified, expressive form meant not for dancing, but for listening.
We will hear his famous piece – The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires – performed by violinist and arranger Vilhelmas Čepinskis with a string orchestra. Later, tango dancers will take the stage to revive the essence of the dance – body language, intimacy, and improvisation.
The evening’s highlight and surprise for all attendees – a milonga – a true celebration of dance where past, present, and the pulsating rhythm of Argentina will come together.
