RYUICHI SAKAMOTO – POET OF SOUND / PIANIST DARIUS MAŽINTAS
Event information
On November 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM, Paliesius Manor will be filled with music of extraordinary sensitivity and beauty, as the piano works of one of the most remarkable composers of our time, Ryuichi Sakamoto, come to life through the interpretation of pianist Darius Mažintas.
This special concert is dedicated to the memory of a musical genius who passed away just a few years ago – an artist whose compositions became poetry woven from silence and sound, a delicate dialogue between fragility and light.
Infused with Eastern aesthetics and universal beauty, Ryuichi Sakamoto's music invites listeners on a deeply personal journey. His compositions blend gentle melancholy with luminous moments of clarity – each note like a tender touch upon the human soul, opening the door to profound emotional landscapes.
Pianist Darius Mažintas is an internationally acclaimed Lithuanian artist known for his remarkable ability to create moments in which time seems to stand still. His interpretations combine serenity and deep inner concentration with passion and intellectual depth. With extensive experience on international stages, he brings Sakamoto's music to life with profound respect, sensitivity, and artistic freedom.
This exceptional musical programme began its journey in Vilnius, where four concerts dedicated to Ryuichi Sakamoto's music have already sold out, attracting great interest from audiences. The programme is now travelling across Lithuania, visiting different cities and unique concert venues.
On November 15, Ryuichi Sakamoto's music will resonate within the extraordinary setting of Paliesius Manor, where history, the tranquillity of nature, and music come together in perfect harmony. The intimate atmosphere of the manor will allow listeners to experience every delicate nuance of the piano, while the stillness of late autumn will become a natural extension of this deeply moving music.
The afternoon of November 15 will be more than just a concert – it will be an intimate encounter with music that invites us to pause, listen deeply, and remember what truly matters.
A gift not only for devoted music lovers, but for everyone seeking meaning, stillness, and beauty.
