Rūta MUR & Aukuras

At this concert, two different yet organically complementary musical traditions will come together: contemporary pop music aesthetics and the culture of academic choral singing. Vocalist Rūta MUR, distinguished by her emotionally charged and melodic work, together with the Klaipėda choir “Aukuras,” will present a new interpretative dimension of her songs.

The program will feature Rūta MUR’s original compositions, reimagined for choral ensemble—here, the intimate sound of the solo voice will merge with a rich choral texture that expands the emotional scope of the songs. This collaborative project offers an opportunity to hear well-known works from a new perspective, highlighting their harmonic richness, textual sensitivity, and rhythmic fluidity. The musical flow of the evening will create a contemporary, aesthetically refined, and contemplative soundscape, revealing the synergy between the choir’s and the soloist’s voices.
