About performer
The music performed in this concert will reflect contemporary jazz directions in which modern improvisation, European harmonic expression, and clearly articulated thematic dramaturgy converge. Mindaugas Stumbras’s compositions are characterized by attention to narrative and shifts in mood, and they will be enriched by the improvisational lines performed by saxophonist Karolis Šarkus, double bassist Gediminas Stepanavičius, and drummer Kaspars Kurdeko.
