XII International Balys Dvarionas Competition for Young Pianists and Violinists

The International Balys Dvarionas Competition for Young Pianists and Violinists is one of the most beautiful celebrations of musicians in the Lithuanian cultural field. Each time, the competition becomes a vibrant international gathering of pianists and violinists from the youth of today. Eventually, the stars of the future are born on the stage.

During the finals, on 19-20 of April, the competition will bring together three of each most talented pianists and violinists to perform selected concertos by B. Dvarionas, R. Schumann, F. Liszt, L. van Beethoven, E. Grieg, W. A. Mozart, F. Mendelssohn, C. Sant-Saëns, H. Vieuxtemps. Finalists will be accompanied by the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Martynas Staškus.
