We invite you to the 26th Vilnius Book Fair – a gathering where books become conversations and readers and creators meet in one space. It is the largest literary and cultural event in the Baltic States and a tradition that brings community, curiosity, and the joy of discovery back to Vilnius every year.
This year's theme is "The word in search of human". It reminds us that literature is not only text, but also connection: between the creator and the reader, between stories and experiences, between silent reading and loud music.
The fair offers a lively program: new book premieres, meetings with authors, discussions, conversations, concerts, exhibitions, creative workshops, and activities for all generations. Here, reading becomes an experience—from the first page of a book to a personal autograph.
News and guests
The fair often features books that have just arrived from the printing press. Readers at the fair are the first to purchase the latest works by Lithuanian and foreign authors. The tradition continues – visitors to the events can get an autograph from their favorite writer. Publishers also invite special guests, who will be announced as the event approaches.
Young Readers' Hall
The Young Readers' Hall will offer visitors a wide selection of new books, creative workshops, and events on stage. There will be an open library space organized by Lithuanian librarians, and children's book creators will invite visitors to participate in creative activities. The Youth Point will be a place to discuss topics of interest to young readers.
Music Hall
As always the Music Hall will surprise visitors with a diverse program that brings together most Lithuanian musicians under one roof. It is the largest music publishing fair in Lithuania, featuring concerts, talks, and meetings. In 2026, the Music Hall will be hosting its 11th edition.
This year's theme, "The word in search of human", invites you to stop, listen, talk, and experience literature as a living connection between works, people, voices, and experiences.
Important information
Family Card discount applies at the LITEXPO ticket office on the last day of the exhibition.
Persons with disabilities (with one accompanying person) are invited to visit free of charge, if they have: 0-25% working capacity; special needs (after retirement age); severe disability (children under 18).
Pictures and videos will be taken during the event.
