Event
Another concert of authentic music from distant lands at the Kirtimai Cultural Center - the band TISDASS from Niger is coming to Vilnius. The concert, which will take place on Wednesday, 28 May at 7 pm, is part of the band's European tour.
Due of the military putsch in 2023, TISDASS had to abandon a large part of their tour, so now the band is delighted to announce this tour. TISDASS is back with energy and an insatiable desire to make you dance.

TISDASS is the band of singer-guitarist Moussa Kildjate Albadé. Based in Niamey and originally from Tchintabaraden, a town emblematic of the Tamasheq kel of Niger, TisDass means ‘Pillars’ in Tamasheq, referring to the pillars that house the traditional Berber tents. The name reflects the group's attachment to a culture that it intends to defend and promote through the power of its music.
The band‘s tour is dedicated to presenting the album “Houmaïssa”.
Houmaïssa is the name of a Tuareg symbol worn exclusively by women. With this new album, TisDass pays tribute to women, the pillars of the family in Tuareg society. While the tempo has quickened, the acoustic tracks of Tara (Love) and Itag Aguen (There's a lot going on) remain a trademark of Sahelian music. The other tracks take the 180-degree rock turn that the band wanted and felt on stage. The themes of the songs remain faithful to the demands and aspirations of the Tuareg people to live in peace (Taflist (Trust), Derhan (Hope), Ikewagne (Root)).
