Shiny Halloween at Šarkos parkas | NON-SPOOKY DAY
Event information
🔥🎃🌟 ŠARKOS PARK 🌟🎃🔥
October 16 – November 7 (not every day)
The Halloween of Šarkos Parkas, like the mythical Phoenix, rises from the ashes and will shine brighter than ever. For the third year in a row, we are organising a family-friendly Halloween celebration — fun and safe to visit via the newly renovated Molėtų Road.
At Šarkos-style Halloween, the cult of blood, horror films and gore is not welcome. There are no hanging victims and chainsaws here. Instead, we celebrate the Celtic festival of Samhain, whose central idea is “Light in the Darkness.” Our decorations will shine brightly, while non-alcoholic drinks and food will keep you warm on dark autumn evenings. Šarka (Magpie) has whispered that her friend 🔥 the Phoenix will be dropping by more than once this year to entertain and amaze the park's visitors.
Šarkos Parkas Halloween will have two zones: THE LIGHT ZONE and THE FOREST ZONE.
🌟 In the Light Zone, you will find the Great Playhouse, Scarecrow Dwellings, the Fortune Teller's Room, the Fairy Beauty Fortress, a Ghost-Hijacked Ship, Mrs Witch's House, the Skeleton Orchestra, the Fairy and Gnomes' Meadow, a food area, and our new attraction — “Fantasy Alley.”
👻 Meanwhile, the Forest Zone guarantees an immersive adventure among the trees and spookier decorations along a winding 500-metre forest trail. And Šarka warns that the Forest is home to pesky spirits that feed on people's shivers...
Halloween will operate in two modes: SPOOKY DAYS and NON-SPOOKY DAYS.
🖤 NON-SPOOKY DAYS
(October 18, 22, 29; November 2, 3, 4, 5) — these are perfect evenings for families with younger visitors, senior citizens and people with disabilities*, while especially friendly prices will be offered on the Thursdays in October.
On Non-Spooky Days, the park will be bright, cheerful and welcoming, while the Forest spirits will be resting and will not follow in your footsteps.
*The park is not specially adapted for people with mobility impairments, although wheelchairs can easily pass through many areas. The Forest, however, is not wheelchair accessible.
🕸🦇 SPOOKY DAYS
(October 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31; November 6, 7) — the Light Zone will be just as fun, bright, playful and safe. But in the Forest Zone, from 7:00 PM onwards, restless spirits will be lurking.
One wrong move, a few steps off the trail — and something may awaken in the mist and start following you. Don't touch them and they won't touch you, but don't expect a peaceful journey through the Forest. The spirits feed on your emotions, so they will do everything they can to make them as intense as possible.*
*The Forest trail is strictly not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, people with disabilities, or children aged 6 and under. There are also many damp and slippery areas in the Forest, so we strongly recommend that everyone wear water-resistant footwear. There are no paved or specially prepared paths in the park, and the grass becomes wet with dew in the evening.
OPENING HOURS
🌜 October 16–31* — 6:00–10:00 PM
(visitors admitted until 9:00 PM; the Forest Zone opens at 7:00 PM)
The clocks will be turned back overnight from October 24 to October 25.
🌛 November 2–7 — 5:00–9:00 PM
(visitors admitted until 8:00 PM; the Forest Zone opens at 6:00 PM)
🐶❌ Autumn evenings at the park are filled with lights and sounds. To protect both our visitors and the animals, dogs are not allowed in the park during Halloween. Thank you for your understanding.
