The pianist is known for his unique interpretation, unexpected nuances, and distinctive musical imagery. D. Mažintas has received accolades in international competitions, is invited to perform at festivals, and collaborates with various orchestras and renowned performers from Lithuania and abroad. This time, Darius Mažintas will perform works by F. Chopin and M. K. Čiurlionis. Both brilliant composers are connected by a sense of spiritual freedom, creative dedication, and love for their homeland. These values are important to the pianist, shaping his musical identity and inspiring his search for performance forms.

The famous nocturnes of F. Chopin, when played by D. Mažintas, are emotionally rich, full of undertones that will undoubtedly be noticed by the concert audience. The pianist performed F. Chopin's nocturnes in war-torn Ukraine, where they seemed to embody the longing for freedom and hope. M. K. Čiurlionis's work was also chosen with purpose. During the concert, we will hear compositions that could not have been born without creative freedom and love for Lithuania. As D. Mažintas states: "M. K. Čiurlionis is a profound creator who saw colors and events that many did not. When performing his music, it is important for me to notice those colors and convey them to the listener as I feel them."

The piano duo of Romualdas Lukošius and Rimantas Jurkonis will present a virtuosic, witty program "Musical Jokes." This is a musical pastiche, the ingredients of which are eternal classics, jazz, and musical works, all performed on two pianos. Having played together for over 40 years, they have popularized arrangements of classical works and are known in concerts as the most outrageous and witty piano duo. In their dynamic fantasies, composers from different periods and corners of the world meet, blending various styles, genres, musical jokes, and lyrical interludes. Each of their performances is a fiesta of musical pyrotechnics: colorful, sparkling, and glittering with bright flashes.
