Fairy tail on ice "The wizard of Oz"

“The Wizard of Oz” – a figure skating fairy tale on ice.

On May 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM, the ice arena at Vilnius Akropolis will transform into a land of wonders.

Children will become fairy tale characters, the ice will turn into a stage, and modern music and lighting will create an atmosphere where the magic of Oz is reborn in a new way.

The performance is created by the figure skating club “Ledo Elita” together with skaters from other figure skating schools and clubs: Čiuožiu.lt, “Ledo magija”, “Ice Symphony by Kaneda”, “Ice Dream”, “AmberSkate”, and “LFLS Figure Skating Training”.
On ice – 35 performers, from five-year-olds to experienced young athletes.
Director, choreographer, and figure skating coach Anastasiia Butylina, together with co-choreographer Anastasija Zazulinskaja, combine theater, sport, and contemporary scenography into a visually powerful, emotional journey.

Seating for the audience will be arranged directly in the Akropolis ice arena, allowing you to experience the fairy tale up close (dress warmly).

A contemporary interpretation of “The Wizard of Oz,” modern music, unconventional soundtrack solutions, costumes, lighting, and performances by young skaters create an atmosphere where magic becomes not just a story, but an emotional experience for both children and adults.
