Rudyard Kipling, the winner of the 1907 Nobel Prize in Literature and author of nature stories (such as The Jungle Book and Just So Stories), always leaves space in his works for the curious child, who constantly asks questions: “What?”, “How?”, “Why?” This is not surprising, since the author crafted the stories for a specific child – his beloved son, John Kipling.

The Curious Elephant gives the audience a chance to visit the real jungle. The protagonist, the Elephant, lives next to many other jungle dwellers: the Giraffe, the Ostrich, the Monkey, the Python and, of course, the Crocodile, who will help the curious little animal find out – and even see – what crocodiles really eat for lunch. And most importantly, a true detective story will play out on stage: how and why the Elephant’s once tiny, button-like nose suddenly turned into a long trunk that helps with so many tasks.
