“MKČ: Amžinybės žaidimai” (Games of Eternity)

“MKČ: Amžinybės žaidimai” is an interdisciplinary work in which music, voice, and movement bring M. K. Čiurlionis’ letters to Sofija Kymantaitė‑Čiurlionienė to life. Dancer‑choreographer  Aušra Krasauskaitė on stage becomes, as if, living letters to Sofija.

Electroacoustic music, movement, and voice merge into a single breath, while fragments of the letters transform into an inner monologue. This is not a story about Čiurlionis—it is an experience of his world, remembering Sofija Kymantaitė‑Čiurlionienė.

About performer

Silvija Miliūnaitė is a composer of the young Lithuanian generation, known for her distinctive voice that bridges concert, stage, and interdisciplinary art. Her catalogue includes over forty works ranging from solo and orchestral pieces to ballets, dance scores, and theatre music.

Her compositions are marked by a vivid rhythmic pulse, subtle micromelodic motion, and a concise yet expressive use of contemporary musical techniques. A gentle breath of popular and rock music occasionally surfaces in her sound world — most notably through her collaboration with the legendary Lithuanian rock group Antis, whose album Baisiai džiugu features her Antisymphony.

In recent years, she has worked extensively with theatre and dance artists, creating music for ballets, operettas, and interdisciplinary stage productions. Her works have been performed by leading soloists and ensembles, including P. Giunter, G. Freibergs, D. Dėdinskaitė, G. Pyšniak, V. Miškūnaitė, D. Bidva, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Kremerata Lituanica, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, the State Song and Dance Ensemble Lietuva, and the choirs Jauna muzika and Bel Canto. Her music has been heard at international festivals in Lithuania, Japan, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Estonia.

Aušra Krasauskaitė is a director and choreographer, laureate of Lithuania’s Golden Stage Cross and Padėkos kaukė awards. She has created productions for numerous Lithuanian theatres and choreographed major projects for the State Song and Dance Ensemble Lietuva, including the musical dramas Emilija and Sakmė apie dovanotą širdį (The Tale of the Gifted Heart), the collage opera Mažvydas, and the dance performance Dance Symphony from the Northern Jerusalem to the music of Jievaras Jasinskis.

Her creative work also includes the dance performance Dėdės ir dėdienės (Uncles and Aunts) based on the prose of Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas, and the acclaimed production Carmen (2017), created with the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre ballet troupe, for which she received the Golden Stage Cross for Best Young Artist Debut.

Dalia Dėdinskaitė is one of the most prominent violinists of her generation in the Baltic States. She has performed throughout Europe, the United States, and New Zealand, appearing as a soloist with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, the Dresdner Kappelsolisten, and the Dresden Carl Maria von Weber Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Saulius Sondeckis, Juozas Domarkas, Georg Mark, and others. Her refined artistry and expressive depth have made her a highly sought-after performer on international stages.

Gleb Pyšniak is a Lithuanian cellist recognized for his expressive sound and refined musicianship. He made his solo debut at the age of fourteen with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra at the National Philharmonic Hall in Vilnius. Since then, he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many of the world’s leading concert halls. A student of the legendary Natalia Gutman, he has also honed his craft under such masters as Yo-Yo Ma, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Ivry Gitlis.
