Mindaugas Stumbras is one of the most prominent Lithuanian jazz guitarists and composers, whose music brings together emotional depth, intellectual clarity, and rich sonic imagination. An artist firmly established on the international scene, he is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and his music has been featured at prestigious European jazz festivals and clubs.
The program will present original music from his albums Among the Pines, Inspirations, and his latest work, The Spinner of Yarns. This is a musical journey that reveals the full spectrum of Mindaugas’s creative output—from delicate acoustic textures to intense jazz improvisations.
Each composition is like a separate story, imbued with personal experiences, cultural impressions, and inner exploration. Within these stories, the freedom of jazz improvisation intertwines with the colors of world music and contemporary harmonies, all of which the quartet masterfully brings to life on stage.
