The project NOT WHAT WE AGREED is turning six! To celebrate, we’ve recorded a unique collection of collaborative works by Deaf and hearing creators — now released as a new album. Join us for a one-of-a-kind live concert in Lithuanian Sign Language at the venue “Tamsta” to mark the launch.
The audiovisual album titled “NOT WHAT WE AGREED” marks a milestone in Lithuanian cultural history. It’s designed for a wide audience, Deaf and hearing alike, and for anyone who values Lithuanian Sign Language, spoken Lithuanian, and music.
The album will be released digitally at the end of February, while physical copies will be available exclusively at the concert. The physical edition features a vinyl record on one side and a booklet with active links to video performances in sign language on the other.
At this live concert, we’ll share the story behind the project and perform a selection of works created over the years: from songs to pieces of Sign Language literature, all accompanied by a live music band. Expect deep bass that resonates through the body and join us in celebrating this unique performance, where two communities come together in one powerful experience.
Event duration: 2 hours including intermission

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
In 2025, NOT WHAT WE AGREED presented three immersive audiovisual performances and was featured at the SIRENOS Vilnius International Theatre Festival. In 2024, project initiator, musician and actor Dominykas Vaitiekūnas was awarded the Borisas Dauguvietis Earring and the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture Prize for outstanding cultural education initiatives in 2024.
