F. CHOPIN'S BALLADS – PIANIST DARIUS MAŽINTAS

After the festive bustle subsides and winter envelops the city in peace, the Kaunas State Philharmonic becomes a special oasis of music. Every year, in February, pianist Darius Mažintas presents intimate evenings of Chopin’s music in this cozy Kaunas space. This time, all four of F. Chopin’s ballads will be performed – some of his deepest and most dramatic works, which encompass the entire panorama of the human spirit: from the gentlest whisper to stormy ecstasy. These are works in which music turns into a story – full of tension, contradictions, moments of enlightenment and peace. Each ballad is like a separate novel, but together they form one powerful fresco of human feelings and spiritual experience. 

Darius Mažintas, famous for his special interpretation and ability to convey the most subtle emotions, will open up the world of F. Chopin in these concerts, allowing listeners to feel every twist of the ballads as if they were being told for the first time.
