SPACE WALTZS Šviesė ČEPLIAUSKAITĖ (piano)

Pianist ŠVIESĖ ČEPLIAUSKAITĖ performed in all main concert halls in different towns of Lithuania, and toured with her concerts in Great Britain (1990), Russia (1993, 2005, 2006, 2015), Poland (1995-2021), Germany (1998), the Netherlands (1999, 2005, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2019), Belgium (2003, 2009, 2011), Japan (2003), Estonia (2003), Norway (2010), Belarus (2013, 2014), Latvia (2016), Italy (2019, 2022).

Š. Čepliauskaitė graduated from Kaunas J.Naujalis secondary arts school (piano class of Rymantė Šerkšnytė), finished her studies, internship and post-graduation courses at Lithuanian Music Academy (supervised by prof. Jurgis Karnavičius), internship at F. Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, Poland (supervised by prof. Barbara Hesse-Bukowska, with scholarship from the Commission of International Studies, Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science).

The largest part of Šviesė‘s repertoire are pieces by composers – romanticists. She is especially taken by F.Chopin‘s works. In December 2009 Š. Čepliauskaitė was invited to be a member of the Honorary Committee of Chopin‘s Year Celebration in Lithuania.

Pianist recorded following CDs: "F.Chopin. Valses" (2004, first time in Lithuania to record all the waltzes), „M. K. Oginskis. Farewel to Homeland“ (2009, with actress V. Kochanskyte and singer Giedrė Zeicaitė), „CHOPIN LT“ (2010, works by Lithuanian composers and F. Chopin‘s opuses that were the source of inspiration), „SENSIBILE“ (2014, with flutist Viktorija Zabrodaitė), she also recorded works of W. A. Mozart, F. Chopin, K. Szymanowski for Lithuanian Radio (1990-1999).
