About performer
The Montenegrin Guitar Duo is an exceptional ensemble formed in 2005 by guitar virtuosos Goran Krivokapić and Danijel Cerović. The duo has a large repertoire that ranges from transcriptions of ancient music to original compositions written in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Their debut CD, published in 2013 by Montenegrin Music Centre, comprised pieces by C. Domeniconi, A. Piazzolla and D. Bogdanovic. Soon after, the duo caught the attention of international audiences and critics with their mesmerizing performances of J. S. Bach's English Suites. The historically informed, but at the same time new, fresh approach on two guitars received particularly high praise from the critics. Since then, the duo played hundreds of concerts in prestigious festivals and concert halls in Europe, Asia and North and South America confirming their status as a world-renowned music ensemble. The duo is currently preparing for their next CD, featuring works by A. Piazzolla.
