About performer

The choir "Aukuras" is an active participant in Klaipėda's musical life, collaborating with renowned artists and talented creators. Under the direction of one of Lithuania's most prominent conductors and choral music composers, Vytautas Miškinis, the programme centers on works by composers who grew up in the legendary boys' and youth choir "Ąžuoliukas."

The concert will feature compositions by Vaclovas Augustinas, Gintautas Venislovas, and Miškinis himself, who has led "Ąžuoliukas" for many years. These pieces are based on liturgical and Lithuanian folk texts, as well as the words of William Shakespeare!
