Apeiron theater: There are no gods in the garden
Event information
"There are no gods in the garden" is a slow-paced stage action full of ritual actions, archetypal symbols, and alchemical quests. During it, you will not see the development of the plot typical of performances, sharp dramas or the goal of keeping the viewer's attention, dictating a fast and constantly intriguing rhythm. The atmosphere of this stage action is reminiscent of the old saying: "one can look for a long time at flowing water, burning fire and working man".
The main character of the stage action "There are no gods in the garden", like many of us, experiences a strong feeling of loneliness and longing, which consists of past hurts and future fears. In order to break free from this vicious circle, she immerses herself in an ascetic, ritualistic process of purification and reconciliation, during which in an empty space in real time, under real circumstances she grows a 3,5 meters high and wide,an geometric, mysterious construction called: a Heavenly Garden. This garden is at the same time an archaic and futuristic medium of cosmic memory, a symbol of harmony, in which the creator perpetuates man's reconciliation with himself in a post-apocalyptic world.
creators of stage action: Greta Gudelytė and Eglė Kazickaitė
Composer: Toma Čepaitė
The duration of the action is 1 hour 30 minutes.
