Martynas Levickis, who will perform at the third Alanta Music Festival, is undoubtedly one of Lithuania’s most successful performers. Admired by both professionals and audiences alike, the accordionist stands out not only for his impressive virtuosity, but also for his remarkable stage charisma.

These qualities have elevated M. Levickis to the elite of the European music scene, and he is regularly invited to prestigious international festivals. In 2023, he became Artist in Residence at the German music festival Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, while in 2025 he was awarded the title of Fokus Artist at the Rheingau Musik Festival. Martynas is also a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

The artist’s concert schedule is exceptionally intensive and booked several years ahead, making opportunities to hear him perform in Lithuania increasingly rare. For this reason, the accordion virtuoso’s appearance at the Alanta Music Festival will undoubtedly become one of the festival’s highlights. Moreover, the programme will feature some of the finest works of classical music, specially arranged for accordion by the performer himself. Alongside works by W. A. Mozart, G. Mahler, A. Piazzolla, F. Chopin, and Ph. Glass, the accordionist will also perform his own arrangements of Lithuanian folk songs.
