RYUICHI SAKAMOTO – THE POET OF SOUND PIANIST DARIUS MAŽINTAS

On December 12, 2026, at 3 PM, the Multicultural Centre of the Kėdainiai Regional Museum will host an evening of extraordinary sensitivity and beauty, as the piano music of one of the most influential composers of our time, Ryuichi Sakamoto, comes to life in the interpretation of pianist Darius Mažintas.

This special concert is dedicated to the memory of the visionary artist who left us a few years ago — a creator whose music became poetry of silence and sound, a subtle dialogue between fragility, light, and inner peace.

Ryuichi Sakamoto’s music, infused with Eastern aesthetics and universal beauty, invites listeners on an intimate inner journey. Within his compositions, delicate melancholy merges with luminous moments of clarity — each note feeling like a careful touch upon the human soul, opening deeply emotional spaces.

Pianist Darius Mažintas is an internationally acclaimed artist known for creating moments where time seems to stand still. His interpretations are marked by calmness, inner focus, passion, and intellectual depth. With experience on international stages, he brings Sakamoto’s music to audiences with sensitivity, respect, and artistic freedom.

This programme has already received remarkable acclaim in Vilnius, where four sold-out concerts were held. On December 12, this unique musical journey arrives in Kėdainiai — one of Lithuania’s most atmospheric cultural spaces, where the historical setting and intimate ambiance will add even greater emotional depth to the evening.

This concert will become more than a musical performance — it will be a quiet and meaningful encounter with music that invites us to pause, listen, and remember what truly matters. A gift not only for music lovers, but for everyone searching for beauty, silence, and meaning.
