LIMBO – the first circle of Hell in The Divine Comedy.
LIMBO – a term often used to describe a state following divorce, the death of a loved one, emigration, war, or job loss.
LIMBO – a place without suffering, but also without hope. In the first part of The Divine Comedy, Dante places Homer, Horace, Ovid, Socrates, Plato, and Virgil there.
LIMBO – a dance popular in the West Indies in which dancers must bend backwards, lower and lower.
LIMBO – a British anti-submarine mortar.
To be in LIMBO. In English, the expression refers to being left hanging, being in a state of uncertainty, waiting for a decision, or not knowing what will happen next.

Ilya Moshchitsky is a theatre director and curator. His artistic practice focuses on finding new forms of interaction between audience, performer and space. He sees theatre as a place of exploration and shared experience. Since March 2022, he has lived and worked in Yerevan. He leads the independent theatre company Chronotope, founded in 2018, and is one of the curators of Chronofest, an international festival of contemporary theatre and performance. The company creates original theatre projects, while the festival brings together independent artists and theatre collectives from different countries. His best-known works include The Trial of John Demjanjuk: A Holocaust Cabaret, The Book of Disquiet, Michael Craig-Martin’s Oak Tree and To Forget.

Vilniaus senasis teatras pristato ateinančiojo 113-ojo sezono pirmąjį pusmetį. Žiūrovai bilietus į rudenį ir žiemą vyksiančius spektaklius gali įsigyti jau dabar, su ženkliomis nuolaidomis. Keisis spektaklių rodymo principai, lauks malonios staigmenos ir pačioje salėje. Žiūrovus kviečiame nebijoti šokti, nevengti dramų bei improvizacijos. Tai suteikia spalvų. Senasis teatras būtent toks: spalvingas, daugiažanris, daugiakalbis, daugiakultūris. Ir žinoma, šokantis, performatyvus, dramatiškas. Kitoks.
Senajame teatre įvyks trys premjeros: armėnų režisieriaus Iljos Moščickio spektaklis „Limbo“ (rugsėjo 4, 5 d.), Agnijos Šeiko šokio spektaklis „Vienat“ (lapkričio 13, 14 d.) ir ukrainiečių režisieriaus Maksymo Holenkos „Žalieji koridoriai“ (gruodžio 11, 12 d.).
Senasis teatras ragina plėsti ne tik geografiją, bet keisti ir vidinę topografiją, paženklintą tolerancija, pakantumu ir atvirumu.
