What if we started the New Year... in Paris?
With songs made famous by Édith Piaf, Patricia Kaas, Zaz, Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin, and other stars of the international stage. With French elegance, the sound of the piano, and saxophone melodies that, for one evening, will transport you to a place where life seems just a little more romantic – Paris.
La Vie en Rose is music about love, longing, dreams, and the joy of being alive.
On stage – Edita Suchockytė, whose warm, distinctive voice and love of French chanson turn every song into a little story of its own.
Joining her are two outstanding Lithuanian musicians: Juozas Kuraitis, whose saxophone will fill the evening with romance, emotion, and true Parisian charm, and Daumantas Slipkus – a virtuosic and sensitive pianist whose playing will bring even more colour and nuance to these melodies.
But La Vie en Rose is about more than music.
Edita Suchockytė is also a renowned Lithuanian artist whose paintings and graphic works can be found in private art collections around the world. One particularly significant recognition of her work came when the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, presented one of Edita’s graphic works as a gift to the Vatican Museums.
An exhibition of Edita’s paintings will travel across Lithuania alongside the La Vie en Rose concert series. After Panevėžys, the paintings will continue their journey to another city – although perhaps not all of them. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a favourite work and take a little piece of the evening home with them.
When the Christmas presents are already waiting beneath the tree, perhaps there could be one more – a gift that cannot be unwrapped straight away: an evening still to look forward to.
Give someone you love a little journey to Paris at the beginning of January – with music, art, and the spirit of La Vie en Rose.
