Christmas with Čiurlionis Quartet and tango duo Bandini–Chiacchiaretta

The passion of Argentine tango, the refined sound of the guitar, the resonant tones of the bandoneon, accompanied by the subtle accompaniment of a string quartet... This delightful atmosphere awaits in the concert, where good stage associates reunite: the inventive Čiurlionis Quartet and the masters of the guitar and bandoneon from Italy—Giampaolo Bandini and Cesare Chiacchiaretta. Formed in 2002, this Duo immediately captivated international audiences with their passion for music, communicative power, and personal charm. The Duo tours worldwide, receiving public acclaim, was awarded the 15th “Beniamino Joppolo” Prize in Patti (Messina, Sicily) for outstanding artistic achievements in the field of music. Their first CD, Hombres de Tango, received favorable reviews from experts. Bandini and Chiacchiaretta are guest lecturers at academies and universities, teach at the Luigi Boccherini School in Lucca and the Tito Schipa School in Lecce, and lead masterclasses at the summer festivals in Gubbio, Portogruaro, and elsewhere.

Together with the Čiurlionis Quartet, the Duo offers a programme of music by Ástor Piazzolla and Steve Grosso, imbued with a sense of longing, which, when immersed in, allows one to escape the worries and routine of everyday life.
